Here at Work Rest Play we work closely with our clients to advise on furniture choice and finish selection so that the perfect finish is chosen on each and every occasion.  The perfect finish isn't limited to the aesthetic appeal of the finish but also consists of a number of different elements including the quality of the material, colour selection, durability, suitability and much more.

Fenix NTM is a super opaque material that is perfect for interior design and which uses the latest technology to provide exceptional performance.  Fenix NTM has unique surface characteristics which supply a range of tangible properties including:
    •  low light reflectivity, extremely matt surface; 
    •  thermal healing of micro-scratches; 
    •  anti-fingerprint; 
    •  soft touch; 
    •  resistance to scratches and abrasion; 
    •  resistance to dry heat; 
    •  high resistance to acid solvents and household reagents; 
    •  enhanced anti-bacterial properties.


    Halcyon Range
    Innovative performance fabrics
    The Halcyon Collection ia engineered for end-use areas which require further protection such as healthcare, hospitality and education. It consists of five ranges - Aspen, Blossom, Cedar, Linden, and Poplar all available in 12 contemporary colourways.

    All fabrics in the Halycon Collection are bleach cleanable (to 10%) have a soft-effect finish which ensures fabrics are stain repellent and waterproof, permanently antimicrobial using Maedical, and flame retardant to the highest standards.

    The Halcyon Collection is a result of global market research and in-depth product development. The fabrics push the boundaries of healthcare design, but keep things practical through dementia-friendly aesthetics, flatter, more scrub-able weaves and the use of recycled black yarn to help hide stains.

    Mainline Flax 


    Main Line Flax is the natural progression of the much loved Main Line Plus fabric, building on the industry leading bast fibre expertise used to create a new inherently flame retardant fabric from sustainable sources.

    A symbol of purity, wild flax has been used in textiles for thousands of years thanks to its strong, long and smooth fibres found inside the stem of the plant. The fibre is spun into a 70-30 wool flax blend, then fibre dyed to create beautiful mixture yarns which are woven into interesting solids and cross-colours inspired by the rich tones of rare jewels.

    New Year.. New You?.. New Space!

    It's almost hard to believe that 2016 is already upon us, in the blink of an eye 2015 is gone but what a fantastic year it was.  Through innovation and design Work Rest Play have added new products to our range, integrated furniture and technology and continued to supply world class furniture to our clients. 

    Work Rest Play have really enjoyed working with our vast array of clients over the past 12 months to create many inspirational spaces in some of the most iconic places in the UK and Ireland such as The Prince's Trust Headquarters in Scotland and the newly refurbished SSE Arena which recently hosted the BBC Sport's Personality of the Year Awards. 


    And as we did in 2015 Work Rest Play will not only continue to supply and install high quality furniture but we will also strive to improve and inspire the spaces that our clients inhabit.  During 2015 Work Rest Play invested heavily in many innovative areas such as Healthy Working and Integrated Technology and will coninue to do so in 2016.

    Undoubtedly, as 2015 ends and 2016 begins many people will have made resolutions to make improvements in their lives whether this be going to the gym more, giving up smoking or to improve one of the many areas of life that exist.  Resolutions require dedication, commitment and a willingness to improve a certain part of your life.  While a new year can provide a milestone moment for a new you, the reality is that often resolutions are gone in no time at all as seldom does life alter so drastically so quickly.

    We at Work Rest Play believe that while a person can change through hard work and sheer will, and this should be encouraged, a much easier improvement to make in life and a significant one is to create a new space or improve an existing one.  Given that we spend most of our lives either at home or at work, it figures that we should make the most of the space we occupy to maximise enjoyment, productivity and inspiration.  A comfortable, welcoming and innovative space can not only make our lives easier and more enjoyable but also inspire us to greater things.  

    People often underestimate the impact our surroundings have on us, it's inevitable that if we are living and working within a space which is uninspiring and indeterminate then we are going to be affected by this in a negative way.  By flipping this on its head and creating a space which is inspiring and fun we have the opportunity to become more innovative and more productive.  One classic example of this is Google, one of the biggest companies in the world and one of the main innovators of our time.

    Google is famous for having creative, innovative and welcoming spaces for its staff and visitors the world over.  This ties in perfectly with their innovative reputation and the creative and progressive staff they employ.  This highlights the fact that the spaces we operate in not only inspire us but are a physical representation of our company.  If we wish to be seen as innovative, progressive and dynamic then surely we should have premises and spaces which emphasise this point.
